Cowboy is a beautiful, black and white springer.  He stands at 20 inches at the shoulder, and weighs 43.5 pounds.  He is balanced with nice bone.  He has extremely tight feet with well let down hocks.  He is clean coming and going, and moves around the ring with authority and what we consider a very athletic side gait.  He has tremendous reach and drive.

Cowboy has an incredible amount of coat.  His top coat has a sight wave to it across his loin area, but is otherwise straight.  Like his grandfather, the older Cowboy gets the more beautiful and better he becomes.

Cowboy has very balanced angles front and rear.  Cowboy is a moderately angled dog.  He has a well sprung rib cage.  As he ages he gets more front.  He is also increasing in keel.  This can be contributed to how his pedigree matures over time.

Cowboy has current eye and heart clearances.  He is OFA Hip:  good, Elbow:  normal, PFK:  normal, PRA:  affected.

We have owned many dogs over the last 30 years, and Cowboy is, by far, our all time favorite.

He has a sweet, joyous disposition, and loves to please.  He is a joy to have around and has brought us a lot of fun and happiness.  We miss him desperately when he is at shows.

Cowboy finished effortlessly in record time with four majors under some of AKC's most respectable judges.  As a special, Cowboy has established himself as a strong competitor.  As a young dog, he is already a multiple sporting dog group winner and has numerous placements to his credit.
In addition to being competitive in the breed ring, Cowboy has been a force to be reckoned with in the field.  By the age of two years, Cowboy acquired his Junior Hunter title with minimal training and in four straight tests.  His great nose as a natural retriever and love of pleasing his owner helps contribute to a wonderful sporting dog.  He has natural hunting ability and loves to hunt.  He is currently in training for his obedience and agility titles.

Aside from these accolades, Cowboy is a sweet tempered dog who gets along with all he meets.  He can often be found playing with his handler's three year old niece or kissing her nephew.

Cowboy earned his Companion Dog title in three straight shows with an average score of 195.  He showed in the obedience with style and willingness to please as usual.  His enthusiasm could be seen as his tail wagged the entire time he was in the ring.  Watch for Cowboy as he gets ready for his CDX title next!
